Pragmatic’s £182M ($231M) Series D funding round, the largest ever in Europe for a semiconductor company, has accelerated its expansion plans at Pragmatic Park (Pragmatic’s manufacturing hub) which is the UK’s first facility built specifically for high-volume production of flexible semiconductors. Designed for smart, sustainable operations, it is on course to become the nation’s highest-output semiconductor site, with annual capacity measured in billions of devices. Its technology is already deployed across multiple sectors, supporting RFID and NFC, sensing, and low-power control applications. Current use cases span consumer goods, healthcare, industrial systems and emerging consumer electronics, from smart packaging and item-level traceability to AR devices, wearables, toys and gaming.
